The key driver at the time was the centre of cooperation RUB/IGM - until the end of 2024, start-ups on topics such as ‘good work’ and ‘democracy in the workplace’ were accompanied and supported here. This reflects the centrepiece of the now 50-year cooperation between Ruhr University and IG Metall - transfer research: the involvement of stakeholders in research and cooperation in the form of a recursive learning process.
The trade union is in a position to support socio-ecological projects with a large network that has international appeal. Here, questions such as ‘how do we democratise the economy, what do we actually produce and why?’ are by no means new. You can read more about ‘Trade unions and start-ups’ here.
