2023-10-18

Mitbestimmungspraxis Nr. 55 Cover

Completion of the BR Remote project funded by the Hans-Böckler-Stiftung

How remote working can succeed, how co-determination is changing in concrete terms and what works and staff councils can take into account in future in view of home offices and flexible working models can be found in summary form in Mitbestimmungspraxis No. 55, published at the end of the project.

The findings are based on the research results obtained within the framework of the project BR Remote ("Interessenvertretung unter Remote-Bedingungen: Experiences and assessments of works and staff councils on their online working situation in the context of the Corona pandemic"). In cooperation with the Helex Institut Bochum and with the support of the Instituts für Mitbestimmung und Unternehmensführung (I.M.U.), this mixed-methods study investigated the organisation of interest representation during and in the wake of the Corona pandemic. The focus was on internal changes in the committees, contact with employees and employers, and hybrid approaches to solutions.

Core results of the study are accessible here.
