On Friday, February 27, the Centre of Cooperation RUB/IGM, together with the Institute for Social Movements, invites you to the international conference “Between Practice and Research: Democratization of Work in the Realm of Transfer Research” at the Haus der Gschichte, Clemensstraße 17-19, 44789 Bochum.

The conference brings together perspectives from sociology, labor research, and trade union practice and addresses the question of how working environments can be democratically shaped under conditions of crisis, transformation, and digitalization. In four thematic panels topics such as co-determination, new forms of work organization, tensions between participation and representation, and the effects of algorithmic management will be discussed.

The aim of the event is to strengthen the dialogue between science and practice and to highlight transfer research as a central approach to research on democracy in the world of work. We cordially invite you to attend.

Registration is not required. The contact person is Sophia Friedel (0234 3229718).
