How democratic can work really be - and what happens when research meets practice? Does digitalization lead to genuine co-determination - or just to new hierarchies? And how can democratic ideals be transferred to the world of work at all?

Our conference “Between Practice and Research: Democratization of Work in the Realm of Transfer Research” (February 26–27, 2026, Institute for Social Movements, Ruhr University Bochum) invites you to discuss these questions and build bridges between theory and practice.
