On the first of September 2021, the KAINE project (Knowledge based learning platform with Artificial Intelligent structured content), funded by the Federal Ministry of Research and Science (BMBF) for three years, started.

The aim of the project is to increase efficiency in continuing education through the use of artificial intelligence, which takes better account of the learning level and prior knowledge of the learners. This should lead to more effective learning, a homogeneous level of knowledge in learning groups even before attendance phases as well as more efficient adjustments of learning objectives, which is not only conducive to learning in current hybrid forms of continuing education. Under the coordination of the RUB Academy and the Chair of Production Systems, project partners from various areas of science, further education, trade unions and business, we will develop a new learning management system, whereby numerous learning process parameters will be recorded and learning processes adaptively designed.

The RUB/IGM Centre of Cooperation will use the new learning assistance systems, among other things, in the certificate course for company representatives  „Digitale Transformation. Mitbestimmen. Mitgestalten.“, which it has been running since 2019 with the IGM Education Centre in Sprockhövel and the RUB Academy.

Contact persons at the Centre of Cooperation RUB/IGM are Prof. Dr. Manfred Wannöffel and Kevin Bremken.
