On 26 June 2026, the Centre of Cooperation RUB/IGM took part in the symposium organised by the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Labour and Health (MAGS) in Essen: “Chancen nutzen: KI als Treiber für die Arbeitswelt / Seizing opportunities: AI as a driver of change in the world of work”.
The symposium focused on the question of how artificial intelligence is changing the world of work.
In the workshop ‘Participation: how can employees be involved in the introduction of AI?’, Prof. Dr Manfred Wannöffel presented an annotated model works agreement on AI. This sets out provisions on how employees and employee representatives can shape the use of AI within companies.
The works agreement was developed as part of the “humaine” project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Research and Space (BMFTR) until autumn 2026.
