Digital transformation: Co-determination. Help shape it.

The digital transformation is progressing steadily in many companies. New processes and products are changing the working conditions of employees. This presents works councils with challenges that did not previously exist in this complexity. In order to help shape and influence the new world of work, a holistic view of the topic is required.

In the current winter semester, 14 participants started their certificate course on the digitalised world of work in the works council. The Academy of the Ruhr University Bochum is organising this course together with the IG Metall Training Centre Sprockhövel in cooperation with the Learning and Research Factory of the Chair of Production Systems (LPS) and the Centre of Cooperation RUB/IGM. In addition to 7 attendance modules, the course also includes individual project work, which is supervised by the scientific director Prof. Dr Manfred Wannöffel.
